So first we have a nominee who has both supported the bastardization of eminent domain and attempted (successfully and not so successfully) to undermine and neuter one of the most important pieces of civil rights legislation in the past 20 years (As Sr. put it, Let the shameful wall of exclusion come tumbling down).

Then we have a nominee with little or no paper trail. Abouot the only thing we know for sure is that she'd like to reverse Roe v. Wade (and probably Griswold v. Connecticut).

How is it that Bush has gotten away with nominating people who should be nearly unconfirmable?
