So, I'm gonna jump on the Chicagoan freshman no longer in Chicago bandwagon, and declare that "Chicago style pizza" in New England sucks. Yay for pointless hometown pride! Oh, and I've already been chastised for my 'adventurous' taste in food. I went out to eat with two friends who don't eat Chinese. Or Thai. Or Indian. Or any Asian, really (and one of 'em is vegetarian, to boot!). As Jane said, "Dude, you're from Chicago. You're really not a Midwesterner". But I have a few friends with whom I will probably be making dim sum runs in the next few weeks. Seriously, though, does cheapo Chinese count as "adventurous"? I mean, we're talking one step up from Panda Express here! (Disclaimer: I do like Panda Express; however, it is Chinese the way a McDonald's hamburger is German).

In other news, it looks like there are some companies looking for interns here with exactly my skillset. Gonna have to seriously brush up on the Java, though.

Oh, and I'm gonna try AdSense. I seriously doubt I'll break $5, or whatever the threshhold is to get a check sent, but ... meh. Why not? Give me a click if you feel like it (although, by saying this, I am in no way encouraging repeated manual clicking or other fraudulent behavior</CYA>).

EDIT: Got my first comment spam today. A reasonably polite one, but I won't paste it here b/c I don't feel like giving this twerp any google points.

Where are the people you found FROM??!?!?!?one?!?!?!?!eleven?!?!? Boston has a good selection of chinese restaurants and markets, not to mention various other varieties of Asian cuisine.

Oh, and in reply to the person saying Chicago isn't in the midwest, here in Appleton, WI, on College Ave, there are two Asian places (one Thai, one Chinese) within one block of each other! (True, they are near the college here, but there aren't that many restaurants near the college at all.)

Anyway, I hope MIT is going well for you so far. I'm off to do some Diff-Eq.
