So it wasn't Google - I should've known it would turn out to be Comcast's DNS servers again ... anyway, here's a bit of advice. Learn how to put in DNS servers (at least fallback ones) by IP, rather than getting 'em via DHCP. Linux and OS X make this really simple; Windows is a bit harder, but still pretty easy. The IP addresses that I've found are really easy to remember: 4.2.2.1 through 4.2.2.6.
